ARU hopes to deeply assess individual growth, clarify organization visions and programs, better understand, support, and link programs together, and give space for experienced artists to teach and facilitate new artists. Financially, they aim to grow their budget and pay more of their community members equitably and be creative with their resources. Overall, they aim to create regular political education studies and deepen their political consciousness, trust the journey, continue to keep trying new ideas and activities, deepen their arts-to-advocacy pathways, and create safe spaces for/to meet the needs of youth and community members. They hope more of their community members feel more whole—to be able to return home, align and practice their core values, and practice advocacy and solidarity through storytelling and art.

Check out ARU’s One-Pager that describes their origins, community, goals, summary of core programs, and their dream resources, and 2023 Yearbook that is a a visual anthology and year-in-review of our programs!
