Community Advisory Committee
The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) plays a central role in New Breath Foundation’s strategy to create leadership pathways for directly impacted AANHPI community members.
The CAC guides NBF’s participatory grantmaking process. Members offer expertise; recommend strategies; build relationships with organizers from Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and other communities of color hurt by the unjust U.S. immigration and criminal legal systems; and help NBF build a grantmaking process that spotlights incredible frontline organizations.
The CAC is composed primarily of AANHPI formerly incarcerated leaders, survivors of violence, and seasoned experts in grassroots organizing and leadership development.
