Community Youth Center (CYC) of San Francisco provides the culturally diverse youth of the community a shared sense of belonging, fuel for their curiosities, and a voice in their futures. Their mission is to encourage a diverse population of high-need young people to explore their full potential through academic, career, family, and community life.
CYC serves over 8,000 youth each year and is one of only a few agencies in San Francisco addressing the needs of a diverse population of low-income and high-need Asian Pacific Islander, Latinx, and African American youth.
Their services include academic and college counseling, job placement and employment training, substance abuse and violence prevention education, crisis intervention and mediation, leadership development, and technology and computer training.
