Empowering Marginalized Asian Communities (EMAC) serves and supports marginalized Southeast Asians by empowering their communities through advocacy and healing from present and past disparities to build an equitable and robust future.
EMAC was founded in 2017 with the intention of serving the Southeast Asian community in and around Stockton, California. The organization was formed in response to the increase in immigration raids, separation of mixed-status families, and ICE detentions and deportations in the Southeast Asian community.
Today, EMAC continues to advocate and organize around immigrant rights, transformative justice, public safety, and health equity.
