This handbook is for those in California who are in prison and immigration detention and are facing possible deportation. Immigration law is very complex, and it’s difficult to get information on immigration while incarcerated or detained. This guide discusses what you can do to prepare yourself if you have an immigration hold, what to expect when you parole, and how to fight deportation. This was written with a focus on Asian and Pacific Islander immigrants and refugees. The information, however, may be helpful for others.
